This storefront uses limited first-party browser storage for market choice, shopping and account functions. The current code audit found no advertising or analytics tags.
Business details still need confirmation. The store’s registered legal name, business address and support email have not been supplied in the project configuration. This page does not invent those details; the owner must complete the review checklist before relying on it for a live business or payment-provider application.
What cookies and browser storage are used?
A cookie is a small value stored by your browser. This storefront also uses localStorage and IndexedDB, which are separate browser storage technologies. They support the requested market, guest shopping state, account session and product catalogue cache.
Strictly necessary preferences and shopping storage
- The `knownmart_market` first-party cookie stores GB or US market selection for up to one year so the storefront can keep the selected catalogue market.
- Local storage keeps guest cart and wishlist state and the customer session token for account and shopping continuity.
- IndexedDB stores product-list API responses keyed by request/market and expires those cache entries after 15 minutes.
- The site uses browser storage for application functions; this build does not load an analytics or advertising pixel.
Location lookup and third parties
On initial storefront use, the site may call ipwho.is to infer whether to show the UK or US market. That request is not a browser cookie, but the provider receives request metadata such as your IP address. You can manually change the market in the storefront. Third-party image hosts and payment upload storage may receive ordinary browser requests when their resources are used.
Consent and managing browser storage
The code audit found no non-essential analytics or advertising cookies that require an in-site opt-in control in this build. Essential market and shopping storage is used to provide the service. You can clear cookies and browser storage in your browser settings; doing so may sign you out, empty a guest cart/wishlist or reset the selected market. If optional analytics or advertising is added, the store must update this policy and implement a real consent choice before those technologies load where required.
